Banking Control Commision Of Lebanon
The Banking Control Commission of Lebanon (BCCL) was established under Law No. 28/67 dated 9-5-1967.
The BCCL is Lebanon’s supervisory authority of the following institutions licensed to operate in Lebanon: banks, financial institutions, exchange institutions, credit counters and electronic cash transfer companies.
The BCCL aims at continuously developing its supervisory tools, methods, and capacities in order to adapt to developments and challenges locally and internationally, and to align with international best practices.
The BCCL’s mission is to maintain the safety and soundness of supervised institutions, ultimately safeguarding the interests of depositors.
In conducting its functions, the BCCL abides by high standards of quality and professionalism, makes decisions that align with high moral standards, and acts without bias.
